![]() I know this has gotten some bad reviews, but I honestly like it on him, and I'm fairly picky. If I could get him to wear this all the time, I would. The musk, amber and sandalwood have a more masculine emphasis than other scents with the same notes listed. eau de parfum, body lotion and travel spray. We then arrive at lily of the valley, sun drenched sandalwood, and end our magical journey with amber and santal. Top notes of rose petals, white jasmine and sweet honeysuckle. ![]() It lasts a good while, and when he moves I can pick out little puffs of it, and it's lovely. Inspired by English style and grace, this English Laundry Abbey fragrance exudes femininity. amber and sandalwood, and that's what the dry-down leaves on his skin. It's clean without being "freshly scrubbed", a tiny bit soapy while still obviously a fragrance, and it didn't have any of the notes he generally detests shout at him. So we went to the fragrance counter and keeping in mind that he hates citrus scents and patchouli, we set out to find something woodsy, a little spicy, and that wouldn't overpower the natural scent of his skin. But he knows I have a thing for colognes and perfumes. Tall, lanky, long hair, rugged and outdoorsy. My boyfriend is a pretty no-frills kind of guy. Pure White has a similar clean, white vibe but has distinct, forward florals, giving it some personality that Arrogant, ironically, lacks. So as I wear it in the future, if my opinion changes I'll update this review.įor something similar but much better IMO, try Pure White by Banana Republic. I have plenty more left to spray from my 20 mil sampler. I wanted to like this, but it was just ok, for me dog. I had trouble smelling it without my nose on my arm, although my wife says it projects fine, at least in the first two hours. I sprayed it on pretty thick, but it wears very faint on me for my nose. Some citrus or a sweet floral note would make an impact, and lift the scent into something richer. It was nice but I couldn't pick it up on me. I smelled a hint of citrus when spraying some on a card. Soapy, clean, powdery, linen, but there's no there there. It's not disagreeable in anyway, but there doesn't seem to be much going on with this one. A fresh smell, but not one associated with how a man should smell.Īnd finally, that it smelled feminine. Powdery, fresh diaper-ery, baby ointment-ery. Then she said it started smelling like a baby's room. She just doesn't want her man smelling like one. Not that she doesn't like babies or their smell. That is actually kind of a good thing generally, but she didn't mean it to be flattering. But if I like it again, the next time I spray it, I’ll shift this review to thumbs up. Sticking with neutral for now, because I don’t ever wear Arrogant. I’ve come to like The Dreamer very much, so I suppose I’ll come to like Arrogant as well. Signature and Arrogant are similar, but Signature is sweeter and maybe lacks the juniper and tobacco? I wouldn’t compare Signature to The Dreamer. In fact I’d say it’s closer to The Dreamer than it is to it’s sister EL fragrance Signature. I never noticed before because I’d never smelled The Dreamer (Versace) before, but Arrogant is pretty close to the Dreamer.
